Family Tracing Services

The website is called Family Tracing Services because it covers different aspects of our work and includes The Family Tracing Service, Special Search Service and in some other countries, Missing Persons Services.

These services are not genealogical in nature and are not designed for helping with Family Tree searches.

FTS - Family Tracing Services & Missing Persons Services

FTS and MPS are dedicated to locating missing family members with the hope of reuniting families.

FTS and MPS searches for people who have been separated for many reasons.

The FTS and MPS are the same service but use different names in some countries so as not to be mixed up with other agencies in that country.

NSW SpS - Special Search Service

The Special Search Service looks for those people who were separated from their family by the NSW Government.

NSW Community Services (formerly DoCS)

Each state in Australia has an equivalent office, though they may have different names such as Family Services, etc.
